
Lead Software Quality Analyst

The Role
Our Lead Software Quality Engineer will lead a team of Quality Software Engineers assigned to a business vertical (B2B or B2C). They will be responsible for work prioritization. The incumbent will attend project kickoff meetings, assess risks associated with the work, plan and contribute to the work that is required for any release that involves/impacts the ticketing platform or axs.com site. Under the supervision of the Director, Software Quality Engineering, The Lead Software Quality Engineer will oversee all aspects of software quality to include: establishing metrics; applying industry best practices; and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
What Will You Do?
- Lead a team of QA Analysts, providing direction, guidance and coaching.
- Prioritize and estimate work assignments for the team and managing their deliverables
- Drive QA planning and represent the QA function in sprint ceremonies, cross-team planning, and release planning.
- Recommend and implement improvements to QA processes and automation practices.
- Partner with DevOps to align testing with CI/CD pipelines and build automation capabilities.
- Champion adherence to QA standards and best practices across teams.Advocates Quality Assurance standards
- Develop testing tools and work with various stakeholders to ensure standard QA processes are implemented and followed.
- Identify gaps in tools or processes and pilot new testing strategies and technologies.
What Will You Bring?
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) related technical field
- 5+ Hands-on experience in automated quality assurance / testing.
- 2+ years Experience with testing Web/UI, Mobile and REST-based APIs and Services.
- 2+ years Experience managing, coaching, mentoring others
- Experience with both basic as well as advanced features and functions of Jira Bug tracking system
- Has full understanding what API's are and is actively training more junior analysts and engineers on how test any existing or new APIs by referencing previously identified API testing strategy and guidelines.
- Provides process improvement recommendations to the team.
- Strong understanding of databases
- Strong experience with the Test Case Management System TestRail and is able to create new and update existing Test Cases as well as Able to create Executable Test Runs
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, SoapUI, Jmeter etc.
- Proficient with writing complex SQL queries.
Pay Scale: $97,412.40-$117,746.53
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
