Partner and Program Manager

As the Partner & Program Manager you will be the intermediary between internal partners and the Engineering Teams (ET). You will work to facilitate information exchange and align between the 3 layers: the partner or product, the PPM, and Engineering Team. Ensuring visibility, alignment and conscientious of data governance principles while prioritizing strategic objectives that are important to the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Receive all incoming requests for Engineering Teams (ET), acting as the liaison between partner and ET.
- Collect pertinent info that will enable the request to be triaged and the order of priority determined.
- Prepare the request, work with the Engineering Teams, Technical Director and Agile Project Coordinator to capture necessary data points and information.
- Provide ET with the business requirements gathered from the partner, translated into technical requirements, and success criteria.
- Communicate with ET, APC, and the partner to ensure alignment.
- Maintain a roadmap: what has been delivered, what is in progress, and what will be worked on next.
- Assign tasks to the right teams to perform root-cause analyses, preparatory data analysis, to support the request or project.
- Request impact assessments where ET efforts may impact existing systems and communicate these expectations to stakeholders as disclosure notices.
- Prepare partners for ET deployments and releases, confirming back to ET all necessary parties have signed off and are ready to receive the solved request.
What you'll need to be successful:
Must haves:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a technical product owner/manager or technical program manager
- A STEM educational background that includes exposure to technical aspects of data management OR a Master of Business Administration with emphasis on the technical aspects of data management.
- A proven track record of delivering projects with a focus on data governance principles.
- Comfortable writing SQL code in a cloud environment.
- Comfortable in the Cloud environment and have technical knowledge of Azure data structures.
- Understand database management systems and principles.
- Knowledge of Jira, Wiki and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Technical writing and business documentation experience.
Nice to haves:
- PMP experience or past certification
- A STEM background with some business exposure would be ideal
- Experience with Scrum, Sprint, Kanban and Agile methodologies
