The Sr. L&D Specialist plays an integral role in fostering employee growth and development while supporting our company's commitment to innovation and technical excellence. This role is centered on transforming traditional training into engaging, interactive, and self-directed learning experiences using modern instructional design principles and digital tools. You'll be responsible for designing and reimagining learning content across our learning platforms, technical competency mapping, and team-specific initiatives, with a strong focus on creating dynamic, learner-centric experiences that drive engagement and knowledge retention. Your contribution will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning through cutting-edge learning design and content transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

Learning Program Design, Management & Communications

  • Administer and evolve comprehensive learning and development programs that align with organizational priorities and support employee and leadership growth
  • Design, update, and transform training content into engaging, interactive, and self-directed learning experiences grounded in instructional design best practices
  • Partner with stakeholders, HR Business Partners, and leaders to assess learning needs, consult on solutions, and support competency-based and leadership development pathways
  • Develop and manage communication strategies for learning initiatives, including training announcements, program rollouts, reminders, and engagement campaigns to drive awareness, participation, and adoption
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by staying current with industry trends, tools, and best practices

Leadership & Learning Program Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end learning initiatives, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation
  • Identify skill and capability gaps through surveys, interviews, assessments, and stakeholder consultations
  • Design and facilitate engaging learning experiences for employees, people leaders, and HR teams, including leadership development sessions, workshops, lunch & learns, and training programs that encourage interaction and practical application
  • Support the implementation and adoption of learning platforms and tools (e.g., LMS, HRSD, LinkedIn Learning, Preply), ensuring effective onboarding, usability, and engagement

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate training records, project trackers, and participant data (registration, attendance, completion, outcomes)
  • Analyze learning data and generate reports to evaluate program effectiveness and demonstrate business impact
  • Contribute to training metrics and reporting requirements (e.g., 1% training data tracking)
  • Continuously evaluate and improve learning programs, content, and communications based on feedback, engagement data, and evolving business needs

 

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, and a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
  • Experience designing self-directed and digital learning experiences using tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Vyond
  • Proven facilitation, presentation, organizational, project management, and stakeholder consulting skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end learning solutions

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with skills/competency assessments and frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with LMS and digital learning platforms
  • Experience analyzing learning data and measuring training effectiveness
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities
