Senior VFX Artist
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a Senior VFX Artist who can effectively collaborate with the art and design teams to create high-quality artistic content for the project with respect to technical constraints and artistic direction and provide clear feedback to external artists. Generative AI will be part of our pipelines, so AI experience and an openness to advancing our pipeline through AI are pluses.
What you will be doing:
- Work with the Art Director and VFX team to create a wide range of high-quality real-time VFX for the mobile platform
- Collaborate with design to create abilities, boss effects, in-game pickup effects, etc
- Create skyboxes, cloud systems, storms, and ambient effects inside environments
- Research and analyze current and emerging visual effect trends and technology and collect reference materials that support the visual quality and style for the VFX team
- Work closely with the graphic engineering team to develop new or improve upon old technologies to improve visual effects quality
- Collaborate with the level design and gameplay teams to create visual effects that support gameplay systems
- Work with the Production team to maintain a clear and consistent schedule
- Supervise bug distribution and verify bug fixes

The skills you need:
- 5+ years of real-time VFX experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide variety of VFX styles, from stylized to realistic, and animation skills
- Critical eye for timing and motion in relation to real-world physics behaviors
- Experienced in gameplay VFX (abilities, boss, NPC)
- Team player attitude and self-driven to excellent content
- Proficiency with authoring and editing node-based shaders and blueprints
- Experience in Houdini, FumeFX, Rayfire, and/or After Effects
- Advanced animation proficiencies
- Understanding of Houdini and setting up Houdini Pipelines
- Experience in Unity for Mobile
- Passion for games of similar genres
