Adult Specialty National Sales Director
Location: United States (Remote with travel)
Department: Commercial – Adult Specialty Sales
Reports To: VP, Sales

Position Summary
The National Sales Director (NSD), Adult Specialty will lead Azurity’s Adult Specialty Sales Team, driving commercial excellence, strategic growth, and execution across the adult specialty business segment. This individual will oversee Regional Sales Directors, align cross-functional teams, and ensure that sales strategies and performance objectives are effectively executed to meet and exceed company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction to the Adult Specialty Sales Team.
- Drive commercial execution and ensure alignment to brand strategy, field priorities, and organizational goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Medical Affairs to execute integrated commercial strategies.
- Develop and implement national and regional sales plans, forecasts, and key performance metrics to drive revenue and market share growth.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Regional Sales Directors and field leaders to build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage data and analytics to assess market dynamics, identify opportunities, and optimize territory alignment and resource deployment.
- Lead adult specialty customer engagement strategy, including key physician networks, specialty practices, and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR and Talent Development to build and sustain a high-performing sales organization through targeted recruitment, onboarding, and development programs.
- Provide strategic input into new product launch plans, ensuring field readiness and strong execution.
- Serve as a key member of the Adult Specialty leadership team, contributing to broader business strategy and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience, with at least 4–5 years in a direct people-leadership role within specialty pharmaceuticals.
- Proven success leading cross-functional commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Strategy).
- Experience within specialty pharmaceutical markets such as neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, pain management, rare disease, or similar is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to turn insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel up to 60-70%
