New

Senior Product Analyst

United States

What the Role Is

You'll own analytics for Wishlists and Celebrations within our Core Registry product org: the occasion-based surfaces (birthdays, holidays, showers) and hosting tools that keep families connected to Babylist beyond the newborn phase. This is where the long-term relationship either extends or ends, and you'll define how we measure it, building KPI frameworks and instrumentation from the ground up across a multi-sided set of users: registrants, hosts, gift givers, and partners. As a senior individual contributor, you'll own these domains end-to-end, influence product direction through rigorous analysis, and help raise the analytical bar across the broader Data org. The role sits in the Data organization and reports directly to the Senior Manager of Product Analytics.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of relevant product analytics experience.
  • Mastery-level SQL, applied to large-scale data. You work fluently across datasets in the millions-to-billions-of-rows range.
  • An expert in event instrumentation and clickstream data. You understand how tracking is structured, how to audit and validate events, and how to build reliable metrics and KPI frameworks from the ground up.
  • A domain expert in experimentation. You bring applied experience in statistical testing, experimental design, and A/B analysis across web and app surfaces, with the judgment to make clear recommendations even when results are messy or ambiguous.
  • Able to connect surface-level user behavior to business outcomes and LTV. You don't stop at the feature; you tie it to what it means for the business.
  • A demonstrated user of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Devin) in your analytical workflow. You use them to write code, generate artifacts, and accelerate analysis. Not just curious about AI; already putting it to work.
  • Comfortable across both product analytics (feature and surface efficacy) and program analytics (P&L-adjacent evaluation of business initiatives), adapting your approach to the nature of the question.
  • Experienced with modern experimentation platforms (e.g., LaunchDarkly), product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude), data modeling tools (e.g., dbt), and visualization platforms (e.g., Hex, Sigma).
  • Principled about prioritization. This role spans multiple surfaces and stakeholders, and you have a clear, impact-driven way of deciding where to focus.
  • Curious and self-directed, comfortable operating independently in ambiguous problem spaces with shifting scope.
  • You naturally reach for AI in your work. At Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You're already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Own end-to-end analytics for Wishlists and Celebrations: occasion-based gifting, event pages, and host and guest journeys.
  • Define success for surfaces that don't have it yet. Build, own, and evolve KPI trees and measurement frameworks with product, engineering, and cross-functional partners.
  • Lead instrumentation for your surface areas. Audit existing tracking, find the gaps, and partner with engineering to get the clickstream data reliable analysis depends on.
  • Design, run, and analyze experiments that drive list creation, guest participation, and repeat engagement across occasions.
  • Untangle a multi-sided user model (registrants, hosts, gift givers, and partners) and make it legible to the people building for them.
  • Quantify how Wishlists and Celebrations extend the Babylist relationship past the newborn phase, connecting repeat occasion behavior to retention and long-term value.
  • Build, own, and evolve dashboards, reporting, and AI artifacts that give clear, reliable visibility across your domains.
  • Use AI throughout your analytical workflow to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and expand what one senior IC can accomplish independently.
  • Influence product strategy as a trusted senior IC. You shape direction through data, you don't just report on it.
  • Contribute to the Data org's internal initiatives and analytical culture, with room to become a team expert in AI-assisted analysis.

Why This Role

  • You're defining measurement for surfaces still being instrumented. You're not inheriting someone's KPI tree, you're building it.
  • Wishlists and Celebrations are where the Babylist relationship extends or ends past the newborn phase: high-leverage surfaces with real business stakes.
  • Full end-to-end ownership as a senior IC. You set the measurement strategy and influence product direction, with no handoffs.
  • AI-assisted analysis is core here, not a side experiment. You'll help define what AI-accelerated analytics looks like for the whole Data org.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
