Assistant Showroom Manager

Beverly Hills, CA

What the Role Is

Babylist is seeking an Assistant Showroom Manager to help lead our flagship Beverly Hills showroom, a hands-on role where people management, guest experience, and daily operations come together. As second-in-command, you’ll support the Showroom Manager with scheduling, coverage, and guest flow, and set the tone on the floor by guiding families through their visit, making expert recommendations, and empowering your team to deliver thoughtful, personalized service. You’ll also build and develop the team, from hiring and onboarding to coaching, celebrating growth, and having the tough conversations that help people improve. Your goal is a showroom that feels inviting and organized, where every family leaves feeling supported. When the Showroom Manager is away, you step in as acting Showroom Manager so the showroom runs smoothly and the team feels supported and inspired.

Who You Are

  • You’ve led a retail team hands-on: hiring, training, scheduling, and managing performance (4+ years of retail management)
  • You’re comfortable with tough conversations: giving direct feedback, coaching toward improvement, and recognizing growth
  • You can run a busy floor on your own: you set priorities, solve problems in the moment, and keep guest flow moving
  • You deliver a personalized, memorable guest experience and empower your team to do the same
  • You keep a space organized and welcoming: visual merchandising, inventory standards, and showroom cleanliness
  • You can work weekends, evenings, and flexible shifts as the showroom schedule requires
  • You can stand for 8-10 hours per shift and lift up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • You’re warm and respectful with every family, however they were created
  • You naturally reach for AI in your work — at Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You’re already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what’s coming next.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Run daily operations with the Showroom Manager: scheduling, coverage, and guest flow
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and make thoughtful product recommendations on the floor
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new staff, then coach them with ongoing feedback
  • Keep merchandising, inventory, and cleanliness at Babylist brand standard
  • Step in as acting Showroom Manager when needed
  • Help plan and run VIP appointments, events, and activations that bring the Babylist brand to life

Why This Role

  • Your coaching directly shapes how families are treated, every day
  • You’ll be trusted to run the showroom when the manager is away, not just cover for them
  • You’ll work on VIP appointments, events, and activations, not only the daily floor

About Compensation

We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:

$67,200 to $80,700

Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.
