But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team!

What You’ll Do:

As a data analyst, you will analyze large data sets to provide actionable insights and drive data-driven decisions primarily across Marketing and FP&A at Backblaze.  We’ll look for you to use your expertise in SQL, Tableau, Snowflake, and Salesforce to navigate Backblaze’s complex data environment.  You’ll combine these technical abilities with your intuition and intelligence to produce insights as an Individual Contributor.  In turn, you will be a trusted thought partner in driving impact at Backblaze.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain data tables and reporting for key revenue metrics such as revenue growth, NRR, GRR, GCR, ARPU
• Develop funnel analysis and reporting for our marketing and demand generation efforts
• Conduct analysis across datasets from marketing, sales, product usage, and key revenue metrics to identify trends and actionable insights, especially around ROI
• Ensure the robustness of reporting by thoughtfully designing our data tables, data sources, and dashboards

Requirements:

• 2+ years working in a data analytics role
• Strong analytical skills, including building visualizations and dashboards in Tableau
• Ability to use AI to produce accurate and actionable data analysis
• Advanced SQL abilities - ability to write queries to extract data from our data warehouse
• Experience working with data using Snowflake, Tableau, and Salesforce
• Keen understanding of sales, marketing, and finance concepts and KPIs
• Sharp attention to detail.  The thoughtfulness, correctness, and defensibility of our analysis will be of utmost importance.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically, break down complex issues, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex analysis to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in math, economics, statistics, engineering, finance, computer science, or other quantitative field
