
GTM Data Analyst

But while there is a lot to celebrate in our past, there is almost as much opportunity ahead of us. We are seeking a GTM Data Analyst to join our team!
What You’ll Do:
You'll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance (FP&A), primarily focusing on building, maintaining, and enhancing the reports and dashboards they rely on daily. Your work will translate complex data into the clear visualizations that drive efficient decision making and operational efficiency at Backblaze.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Aggregation: Build and maintain scalable, robust data tables and views in Snowflake by aggregating data from various sources like salesforce, product data, hubspot, outreach, gong
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and defensibility of all reporting by thoughtfully designing data tables, validating source data, and maintaining documentation.
- Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain high-impact reports and dashboards in Tableau to monitor business performance, track key revenue metrics, and pinpoint growth opportunity drivers.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all reports and dashboards to ensure consistency, transparency, and ease of knowledge transfer.
- Strategic Insights: Be proactive about extracting and communicating sharp, actionable insights from business trends to support critical decision-making for the Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to break down complex business questions and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
We're looking for a highly skilled analyst with a blend of technical depth and business acumen.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years working in a data analytics role, specifically within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Advanced SQL: Expert-level ability to write complex queries to extract, transform, and model data within a data warehouse environment.
- Visualization: Experience working on visualization tool like Tableau or similar
- Data Ecosystem Proficiency: Hands-on experience working extensively with Snowflake, Tableau, and Salesforce data objects.
- AI Integration: Ability to thoughtfully and effectively leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and produce accurate, actionable data analysis.
Business Acumen & Soft Skills:
- Business Intelligence: Keen understanding of core Sales, Marketing, and Finance concepts and KPIs (e.g., Quota Attainment, Sales Cycle, Bookings, Lead to Opportunity Conversion Rates, Win Rates).
- Communication: Strong ability to effectively convey complex analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous attention to detail that ensures the correctness and defensibility of all analysis, providing stakeholders with reliable, single-source metrics.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, etc.).
