What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic Content & Creative Lead to provide part-time coverage for our Sr. Manager of Content & Creative during a leave of absence. This role requires a seasoned content strategist and editorial leader who can manage a sophisticated multi-channel content engine, direct agency partners, steward the brand narrative, and ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration across Product Marketing, Communications, Growth, Sales, and Engineering.
The ideal contractor is highly organized, an excellent editor, comfortable working autonomously, and experienced in managing complex content workflows at a B2B SaaS or cloud company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content strategy and roadmap ownership
- Maintain and execute the content strategy and roadmap across brand, product, SEO, and individual campaigns
- Prioritize incoming content needs from Marketing team, Sales, Estaff, and cross-functional partners.
- Lead content coordination meetings and ensure clarity on priorities, timeliness, and ownership.
- Manage and maintain the content calendar and marketing calendar in collaboration with Associate Editor.
- Editorial leadership and approvals
- Partner with content agency on ideation, outlines, drafts, revisions, and timelines.
- Serve as final editorial approver for high-impact content, both internal and agency-produced (blogs, reports, case studies, scripts, campaign assets, etc.
- Agency management
- Lead day-to-day communication, weekly syncs, project prioritization, and roadmap alignment with various agencies.
- Ensure content deadlines are met and deliverables match brand quality standards.
- Coordinate pitchable content opportunities and align messaging across PR and content; develop press briefing docs; partner with PR agency on timing and rollout for major content releases.
- Own email marketing roadmap for syndication campaigns; draft and deliver email copy and HTML; review performance.
- Approve SEO content optimizations, metadata updates, strategies, and other project deliverables; share monthly performance with marketing stakeholders.
- Campaign leadership
- Lead content strategy, asset development, and cross-functional coordination for Stats franchise, brand campaigns, and ABM campaigns.
- Manage asset workflows through agency partners.
- Develop and/or approve campaign content (emails, landing pages, ads, social, reports, etc.).
- Conduct and distribute campaign retrospectives.
- Department leadership
- Serve as the primary content and creative liaison to the Marketing team, Sales, Engineering, and external agencies.
- Run weekly syncs with direct reports and guide their weekly priorities.
- Provide backup coverage for direct reports, including:
- Blog + social operations
- Creative request triage
- Campaign coordination
- Proofing/quality control
- Support internal creative asset review and approvals as-needed.
- Distribute weekly updates to marketing leadership summarizing priorities, campaigns, and content progress.
- Maintain weekly syncs with senior stakeholders to align on campaigns and upcoming releases.
The Right Fit:
- 7–10+ years in content strategy, editorial leadership, or content marketing in B2B SaaS, cloud, or related technical fields.
