Backlight’s Wildmoka platform is used by customers in the media space to cover Live events, whether on Sports, Entertainment or News. The platform offers video editing tools to help customers create various formats of video content across the event, in some cases manually, and in some cases automatically. Wildmoka offers, with the platform, a premium level of service ensuring that the platform is running optimally at all times, and that the content created (when automatically) is correct.
The Head of Live Operations is a senior Project Manager & Live Event Operations manager who will structure and ramp-up Backlight’s Live Operations activity in terms of process / procedures, 3rd party management, and operations, quality assurance and support, to ensure proper customer service across these Live events.
Key Responsibilities:
LiveOps Activity setup
- Process management: define LiveOps process & document procedures (internal, Support, Engineering, 3rd party)
- Setup, ramp up and manage team when applicable
- Continuously improve LiveOps activity
Project Management of Customers’ Live Events
- Project manage customer Live events
- Setup and manage overall Live Event schedule and Live Events
- Plan activity before event with internal Support team and external 3rd parties
Supplier management
- Refine requirements (e.g. editorial quality control, manual operation, NOC, etc.)
- Source suppliers, evaluate and test vs needs
- Negotiate contracts with selected suppliers
Qualifications - Availability for flexible working hours
- Proven experience in Live event management
- Proven skills in project management
- Previous experience in customer management and/or supplier management
- “Can-do” person, self-motivated, organized and autonomous
- Good communication skills
- English and French are a must - conversational, reading and writing
Preferred - Familiarity with video production / edition platforms & tools, previous experience with Sports events
- Technical / operational experience in Live production environment
