Temporary Senior Art Director

We are looking for a talented Senior Art Director skilled in campaign development, digital/print marketing and photo/video production. This team member will provide art direction on creative assets for multiple channels and be a mentor and support the development of our team of designers. We are looking for someone to help evolve our brand in multiple geographies and create an omnichannel experience. One must be innovative, maintain a solution-first attitude, and be detail-oriented.  

The Senior Art Director works closely with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce team members, as well as other external and internal partners. This position is hands-on, collaborative, and leads team members in our U.S. and Philippines locations.

This position reports to the VP, Creative Director. This is a full-time, hybrid in-office position located in Redwood City, CA which requires three days per week in-office.

What you’ll do:

Design and execute campaigns  

  • Art direct, design, and concept inspiring campaigns that engage audiences across multiple platforms, specifically responsive websites, emails, photo/video, paid ads, social media, catalog and print materials  
  • Accountable for the successful execution of brand projects, either independently or by mentoring team members as needed 
  • Prioritize the customer and their journey throughout multi-channel touchpoints to create impact and build loyalty 
  • Conduct reviews with team members and cross-functional partners; continually iterate based on feedback from reviews to create compelling designs that meet business objectives and timelines 

Streamline processes and workflows  

  • Contribute to defining the creative strategy and process improvements and implementation  
  • Stay up to date with tools and best practices  
  • Implement and maintain effective systems to organize files and resources 

Brand stewardship  

  • Maintain a holistic view of the brand and competition to create a competitive advantage 
  • Ensure brand consistency and visual integrity across all design deliverables 
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and integrate fresh concepts and ideas into our creative work 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on brand briefs, campaigns and initiatives 

What you bring to the table:  

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience in graphic design or art direction, with a focus on digital and print design 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in concept development, visual storytelling, and design execution across various mediums 
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma and other relevant tools 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a creative team 
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Solid understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and ideas 
  • Experience working in an eCommerce or retail environment is strongly preferred

The base pay rate for this position is: $64.00 - $78.00 per hour.
