Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, you will provide end-to-end justification, oversight and management of operations requirements, processes and execution for entrepreneurial opportunities and priorities. You will be the primary Operations contact and, in some cases, the primary manager in charge of a particular project or channel.  

This full-time position reports to the Director of Operations and is located in Dublin, Ireland. This role is expected to work in a hybrid model, which includes three days in-office.  

To ensure sufficient overlap with functional and cross-functional team members globally, some flexibility with this role's regular work schedule will be required. Most of our teams have overlap with early morning and/or early evening PST. Specific scheduling needs for this role will be discussed in the initial interview.  

What you’ll do:  

  • Ownership of International warehouse and shipping operations  
  • Manage relationships and information flow with our UK, EU, and AU warehouses and shipping carriers.  
  • Optimize warehouse network, including managing process improvement, to meet all required timelines  
  • Optimizing outbound distribution network, including managing process improvement, to meet all required timelines 
  • Incorporates financial implications in decision making. Responsible for setting / meeting financial targets/budgets for International warehouses and shipping. 
  • Ensure Customer Service knowledge of all partners 
  • Ensuring full knowledge of requirements and restrictions for each channel to include delivery, customer service and financial details 
  • Working with technology team on necessary integrations with platforms (OMS, WMS, etc) 
  • Support with International Growth opportunities 
  • Serve as the point person in Operations for potential new ventures in the International markets 
  • Work with cross functional teams to evaluate capability and cost analysis 
  • Leadership in current Operations processes 
  • Sharing of in-depth knowledge of all current operations procedures and processes, engaging as required with team or individually to creatively solve issues as they arise 
  • Provide supervision to a small team, defining tasks aligned with common goals, and fosters the professional development of team members through active discussion, feedback, coaching, and mentorship 

What you bring to the table:  

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • 8+ years of operations or relevant experience (or education) 
  • Demonstrated history of teamwork, including a willingness to jump in to help accomplish tasks 
  • Inquisitive, analytical problem solver 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Experience working in retail industry or supply chain 
  • Effective in delegating responsibilities to others 
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors and other partners 
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude
