Product Manager II - Co-Build
Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.
Essential Job Duties
HR professionals use many different systems in their work—HRIS, applicant tracking, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, and so on. Ideally, these systems should all talk to each other, even if they aren’t built by the same company, so that HR admins can assemble a tech stack that is right for their business without having to spend countless errors manually keeping the data in sync. The solution? A connected HR ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to drive the development of new integrations within our connected HR ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in determining which integrations BambooHR should pursue and bringing those integrations to market. You’ll partner closely with our partner marketplace team in evaluating integration partners, help establish connections with those partners, and give direction to a team of engineers as they build those integrations. You’ll also support other BambooHR product teams as they build integrations in their product area. Hence the term “co-build”—you’ll be co-building integrations with partners and with other BambooHR product teams.
You will:
- Deeply understand the typical HR tech stack and the associated challenges and opportunities in ensuring that it all works together by conducting research and engaging with stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Product, Customer Experience, Sales, and Partner Marketing to identify integration opportunities that would have the biggest impact.
- Clearly define the value proposition of each proposed integration.
- Strategically manage the integration roadmap using input from the various sources listed above to ensure your team is focused on the most impactful projects.
- Transform the requirements of each integration into clear, actionable specifications for your engineering team, ensuring alignment with our overall integration framework.
- Consistently deliver valuable new integrations that expand our connected HR ecosystem.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of each integration through quantitative and qualitative measures to ensure they are bringing value to customers.

What You Need to Get the Job Done
- You feel aligned with the BambooHR values.
- 3+ years experience as a Product Manager, with a proven track record of shipping impactful products
- You strive for world-class software in every release.
- Ideally, you have a strong experience working with Design and UX, as it’s essential you’re able to think deeply about product design decisions and have an understanding of how to create simple user interfaces.
- You can clearly communicate product decisions and the rationale behind them. You’re comfortable making decisions without consensus. You can help others make decisions by being persuasive.
- You can work in deep collaboration with other product managers, designers, and engineers from discovery all the way to delivery of experiences for customers.
- You have deep experience working with qualitative customer insights and quantitative customer data to inform decisions.
- You’re entrepreneurial; you don’t need direction; you're self-driven and organized.
- You’re able to switch between thinking creatively and analytically.
