Account Executive 1
Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position requiring some in-office days each week. Employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing a background and credit check.
Essential Job Duties:
The objective of the Account Executive, Partner is simple: bring new business to BambooHR.
But this isn’t your average sales job. As an AE on our Partner team, you’ll work with prospective partners and their referred clients to educate them on the BambooHR platform. By building relationships with HR professionals, department heads, and executive leaders, you’ll demonstrate how BambooHR empowers people and transforms organizations.
You’ll take a consultative approach—highlighting ROI, guiding clients through a proven B2B SaaS sales process, and converting referred prospects into loyal customers. You’ll also be a trusted resource to channel and referral partners, supporting their success in promoting BambooHR.

You Will:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities, with a focus on partner-generated leads and strategic collaborations.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized, up-to-date pipeline using our CRM system (Salesforce), and track progress of partner-driven opportunities.
- Customer Discovery: Understand the unique needs of prospects referred by partners and deliver tailored BambooHR solutions.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external partners to move deals efficiently through the pipeline.
Negotiation & Closing: Support deal negotiation and help move referred prospects to a successful close. - Continuous Learning: Stay current on product updates, partner strategies, and market trends to sharpen your consultative selling approach.
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
- Experience: 1–2 years of sales experience, ideally in B2B or SaaS sales. Partner/channel experience and cold calling are a plus.
- Sales Tools: Proficiency in CRM tools (especially Salesforce) and basic sales tech.
- Quota Attainment: A track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas in a target-carrying role.
- Strong Communication: Confident, articulate, and able to deliver compelling demos to both clients and partner-influenced prospects.
- Drive & Resilience: A self-starter with the grit to overcome objections and the curiosity to explore new sales tactics.
- Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working across teams and with external partners to drive aligned success.
- Coachability: Open to feedback and eager to improve.
- Customer Focus: Able to communicate BambooHR’s value clearly and compellingly—especially to prospects introduced through partners.
- Organization: Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple relationships and opportunities at once.
- Positive Energy: Brings a can-do attitude and team-first mindset every day.
