Utah | Hybrid

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.

Essential Job Duties

As a Human Resource Business Partner at BambooHR, you’ll function as a coach, thought partner, multiplier, and subject-matter expert on all business and people-related matters within your assigned client group organization. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership and craft interventions to address your internal client groups’ specific business needs, tying everything back to the organization’s overall business strategy and operating objectives. In addition, this role will work on projects that impact the broader organization in terms of our annual HR cycle deliverables and initiatives across teams, focusing on clear project plans, thoughtful interdependencies and strong execution.

A HRBP role comes with its challenges: strategically influencing leadership to drive business results and outcomes is no small task. It requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical execution, and interpersonal influence. If you’re ready to bring this blend of skills and face new challenges head-on, you just might be the perfect fit for our HRBP team!

Now, on to the specifics. You will:

  • Develop deep knowledge of our business to partner and consult with leaders on how to achieve core business objectives.
  • Work directly with leaders in assigned client group to drive projects focused on employee experience, retention, engagement and productivity, and the overall people and talent strategies needed to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Regularly gather and interpret people data to identify trends, and provide proactive insights to leadership to address operational needs.
  • Give day-to-day support and coaching to leadership on a variety of actions -  including employee relations issues, compliance, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, and organizational structure and design.
  • Collaborate on developing the culture of your assigned functions.
  • Partner with HR and company leaders to grow the capacity of the organization’s key talent and associated development programming.
  • Support our annual HR cycle deliverables - including performance management, merit and bonus awards, benefits enrollment; etc.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • HR Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in the HR field, with significant experience supporting C-level executives on large-scale business initiatives in complex organizational contexts.
  • Data Fluency: You are a deeply data-oriented thinker - you look to data to understand trends and needs within the organization and have a knack for relaying that data in a compelling way that inspires action.
  • Change Management: You have past experience with complex change management initiatives.
  • Business Acumen: You have strong and ever-deepening business acumen - you are quick to pick up how a business operates and embed that understanding into your day-to-day work and how you prioritize what’s most important.
  • Influence: You’ve developed powerful influence skills - you provide thoughtful coaching and insight at all levels of the organization, including with executive leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: You’re an effective cross-functional partner, building bridges and increasing effectiveness across both your client group divisions and HR COEs.
  • Problem Solving: You consider yourself a great problem solver, and your approach centers around deeply understanding and articulating business problems and business strategy.
  • Action Orientation: You have significant past experience with implementing effective interventions that address your division's specific business needs - and you know how to monitor and measure an intervention’s success.
  • Values Alignment: You’re a culture champion - not only do you live our company values at the highest level at all times, but you work each day to embed these values more deeply into your internal client groups and across the business.

What Will Make Us REALLY Love You

  • You’re a firm believer that open communication and clear feedback make an organization better - and you model these behaviors with confidence.
  • “Proactive” might as well be your middle name, as you’re constantly thinking around the corner and anticipating longer-term organizational and divisional needs.
  • You’re passionate about manager enablement and have a track record of embedding effective management skills into your client group’s leaders.
  • You have a drive for results - you are a pro at getting things done by using project management skills, positive collaboration, and translating vision into action.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
