Banyan is growing rapidly and seeking a Senior Product Manager to help develop product offerings that automate inefficiencies and delight our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to bring modern and intuitive experiences to traditionally rigid and outdated industries. The Senior Product Manager will be integral in product development from vision through launch and scale. They will research, brainstorm, and analyze opportunities, and will set the direction of their product area through evolving the vision and developing the product strategy. This role will provide significant autonomy and creativity in work as well as plenty of opportunity for growth.

This role reports to the Head of Product Management and works a hybrid weekly schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote) with the flexibility to adjust on an ad hoc basis. We will prioritize candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area who are able to come into the office regularly.
What you’ll do:
- Be the steward of your product area, integrating customer and market signals, defining the product vision and strategy, prioritizing the work, establishing success metrics, planning feature sets that drive customer value, and deeply understanding customers’ needs to fuel growth and retention
- Set the product area vision based on the overall Banyan product and company vision, and define the product strategy to ensure growth through existing use cases and new opportunities
- Engage directly with internal and external customers, partners, and other climate financiers to gain insights into their biggest pain points and transform their needs into deliverables that drive the business value of our product as well as integrating feedback to improve product plans
- Be a user advocate while conveying functional process requirements to technical audiences using detailed product specifications, including business reasons and use cases to translate the big picture into effective requirements
- Work closely with the Engineering team through technical discussions, Agile/Scrum sprint execution, quarterly planning, and backlog prioritization to drive product execution
- Communicate the business value and technical rationale using analytics and research
- Collect and analyze quantitative data as well as qualitative research to inform product development to ensure data-driven decision making and measurements of success; identify, prioritize, and iterate on product opportunities as well as existing features
- Plan product launches, collaborate with stakeholders on marketing activities, documentation, support requests, and sales enablement
- Work with designers, other product managers, customer success, and cross-functional teams to deliver and support solutions that make our customers successful and provide tangible value
What you’ll need:
- Experience as a Product Manager at a fast-paced high growth startup focused on SaaS or Fintech
- Experience defining product strategy and roadmaps
- Proven track record of distilling complex and ambiguous situations into actionable, bite-sized milestones for your team
- Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to growth, engagement, and retention
- Deep customer empathy and intellectual curiosity, with a demonstration of active listening skills to elicit and understand customer business challenges
- Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem solving skills, enabling gathering, researching, and analyzing inputs from multiple sources including market data, customer services, sales, etc. to define business requirements and MVPs
- Ability to participate in technical discussions with engineers while also discussing complex fintech products with non-technical customers, and an appreciation of the realities of building and managing complex software services at scale
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to surface needs, articulate and explain features and decisions, and gain alignment to drive projects forward
- A collaborative mindset and an ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships
- Intellectual curiosity, self-awareness, and ability to learn quickly and adapt
- Enthusiasm for Banyan’s mission and alignment with our values
- Experience with ClimateTech, Sustainability, or climate finance is a plus

Compensation: $145,000 - $185,000 DOE
