Description of the Role: As Banyan Software continues to expand its global footprint, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Manager, Compensation and Benefits to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that align with our objectives and support our talented workforce across multiple global locations. This role requires someone with exceptional organizational skills, transparency, and a results-oriented attitude, ready to hit the ground running. You will also be responsible for building and setting up the necessary infrastructure for newly acquired companies, answering complex benefit and compensation queries, and benchmarking to ensure competitive, equitable compensation practices. Reporting to the Director, Payroll and Total Rewards, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment, collaborating with key stakeholders to design a competitive and equitable compensation program.

Responsibilities:

Compensation Strategy and Analysis:

  • Develop and implement competitive global compensation strategies that ensure fairness, equity, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular market analyses to benchmark compensation packages and ensure competitiveness across all geographies, especially the US and Canada.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align compensation programs with business goals, tailoring solutions to company needs and providing insights to HQ leaders based on market trends and internal data.
  • Manage expatriate compensation programs, including relocation packages and allowances, in close collaboration with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Legal teams.

Benefits Management:

  • Oversee the design, communication, and administration of global employee benefit programs, with a strong emphasis on US benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, particularly in relation to tax, immigration, and labor laws.
  • Manage US and Canada benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement, stock options, and equity plans, with a strong understanding of tools like Shareworks.
  • Partner closely with vendors, such as Alera, to optimize benefits offerings and support the needs of our employees.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): 

  • Play a key role in the due diligence process, evaluating compensation structures and providing insights to the M&A team on potential Operating Companies
  • Develop compensation scorecards for pre-purchased companies and guide their transition in terms of people processes and systems.

Data-Driven Insights & Communication:

  • Leverage data analytics to assess the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs, providing insights to senior leadership.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and checklists for tracking and communicating key metrics.
  • Ensure clear, transparent communication of compensation policies across the organization.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits management, internationally preferably within the private equity industry.
  • Strong understanding of global compensation practices, tax, and regulatory compliance, with experience managing both US and Canada benefits preferably. 
  • Familiarity with stock options, equity plans, and compensation tools like Shareworks is a plus.
  • Experience with due diligence and different operating companies is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently.
  • A proactive, transparent attitude with the ability to hit the ground running and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and the ability to create effective dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
