Job Description:
As we expand our presence in the market, we seek a proactive and dynamic Business Development Manager with a hunter mindset to drive growth and new business.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities. Your primary focus will be on expanding our customer base in the telematics, fleet, electric vehicle (EV), and automotive sectors. You should have a proven track record in B2B sales and be skilled in prospecting, relationship-building, and navigating complex sales processes. Experience in the telematics, fleet management, or automotive market is highly desirable.
Location: Remote UK (with requirement to travel to the office in Coventry once a week, typically on a Monday)
Job Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management
- Develop and implement a targeted business development strategy to achieve sales goals and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging industry connections and tools to identify high-potential leads.
- Actively seek new business opportunities and engage in prospecting activities to initiate conversations with decision-makers.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, particularly within the telematics, fleet management, EV, and automotive industries.
- Understand client needs and position LEVL Telematics solutions as optimal answers to those needs.
- Engage in consultative selling, effectively presenting LEVL's value proposition and custom solutions to meet client objectives.
Sales Process Ownership
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial contact through to contract negotiation and closing sales.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of LEVL’s products and services for new clients.
Market and Competitor Analysis
- Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to strategically position LEVL.
- Provide insights and feedback to product development and marketing teams, ensuring our offerings align with market demand.
Reporting and Performance Metrics
- Track and report on key sales metrics, regularly updating management on progress against sales targets.
- Use CRM tools for pipeline management, customer communication, and data reporting.
Experience:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the telematics, fleet management, EV, or automotive industries.
- Demonstrated success in a hunter sales role, with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience with long sales cycles, selling to enterprise or mid-market clients.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to drive deals through completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and people skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of telematics solutions, fleet management, electric vehicles, or the automotive market is highly beneficial
