Position: Technical Writer
Our team is looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented Technical Writer to help shape the future of ResolutionMD. We believe in transparency, collaboration, and disruptive thinking while we passionately work to simplify clinical diagnostic workflows. Our goal is to build a better diagnostic imaging solution that eases the burden on doctors, improves patient outcomes, and saves lives. As a member of our agile product team, you’ll collaborate with a group of passionate professionals to deliver new features and participate in the continuous improvement of our technical documentation.
Your responsibilities
- Produce high quality technical documentation—including, user guides, administration guides, release notes, and help articles—while employing community accepted writing principles, best practices, and tools
- Work closely with subject matter experts, such as software engineers, QA and support specialists, as well as other product stakeholders to create, edit and update various types of documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Write, edit, and update User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) copy
- Manage localized copies of end-user documentation, including ordering and incorporating translations for new features and product updates
- Actively engage in feature design discussions, providing input and ideas
- Actively engage in scrum ceremonies and development processes
Your profile
- Degree in English, Communication, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of experience as a technical writer in a software delivery team creating user guides, administrator’s manuals, release notes, knowledge base articles, etc.
- Knowledge of MadCap Flare for creating single-source output
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for creating web-based documentation
- Experience with Agile software development environments
- Comfortable with GitHub/Git and the general pull request process
- Experience working in the healthcare industry with a focus on medical imaging is an asset
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software, technologies, and subject matters
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
