Title: Business Development Representative
Reports To: Director of Sales
Location: Rochester, New York (Hybrid)
Role Description
- Product knowledge is paramount. Develop a deep understanding of Alpine’s software and how it serves our customers.
- Represent Alpine Software at trade shows, industry events, and in-person networking opportunities.
- Identify quality prospects within an assigned territory through emails, meetings and phone calls.
- Manage and build a sales pipeline
- Support discovery with assigned agencies on their needs for end-to-end software solutions.
- Maintain current understanding of public safety industry including software ecosystem, trends, performance indicators, competitive landscape, and business practices.
- Comfortable with multitasking and be able to budget resources in order to meet the assigned quotas for the role.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of quota carrying sales experience, ideally within the public sector or a SaaS organization Public Safety software experience (preferably in Fire or Emergency Management).
- Strong organization & communication skills with both customers and internal teams.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and work autonomously in a fast-paced start-up team environment with a positive attitude.
- Precise attention to detail in written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with CRM, Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
- Ability to harness financial data to inform decisions
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding quota goals.
- A strategic mind, someone who comes up with innovative ideas and then effectively executes said ideas to boost efficiency.
