Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Spectrum Management, including resolving problems and providing end-user support.
- Handle FCC Experimental Special Temporary Authority Licensing applications and other FCC licensing applications.
- Coordinate and deconflict spectrum with customers to facilitate training objectives, managing temporary frequency request and approval records.
- Serve as a recognized expert in radio communications engineering, spectrum management, and radio frequency spectrum protection.
- Manage, control, coordinate, and execute assigned projects related to RF technologies, ensuring operational requirements are met.
- Provide guidance on the spectrum certification process for electromagnetic radiating and receiving equipment, assisting in achieving EMC and eliminating EMI.
- Control frequency allocations to ensure compatible operation, including frequency deconfliction and surveillance.
- Evaluate user needs against existing technology to create workable and compatible solutions.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an DoD active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in RF Operations.
- Certification: Graduate of the Army Electronic Spectrum Manager Course or the Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Management Course. Meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Spectrum Management, with specific experience within the past 10 years in a Spectrum Manager/RF Project Manager role.
- Demonstrated experience working with various cellular frequencies and coordinating with license owners.
- Experience with FCC licensing applications and spectrum coordination to support training objectives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of frequency management procedures, including use of the Spectrum XXI database and frequency surveillance and monitoring techniques.
- Diverse background in Telecommunication and Electronics, including formal or vendor training in Motorola Canopy Wireless, Centracom, MCC-5500, and Quantar systems.
- Experience with LAN and WAN networking technologies, SCADA devices, CCTV, electronic security and access control systems, and general telecommunication skills including wiring and Fiber Optic Cable installation and termination.
