EOD Trainer Maintenance Technician

Barbaricum is seeking an EOD Trainer Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a combination of Senior Trainer and Trainer Maintenance Technician duties, with a specialized focus on supporting Explosive Threat Engagement Kit (ETEK) events. This role ensures that all EOD-related training and maintenance activities are executed effectively, supporting the overall mission of PM CCS.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the ETEK SME, providing expert guidance and support during all ETEK New Material Introduction Briefs (NMIBs) and In-Progress Reviews (IPRs).
  • Assist the Senior Trainer and Site Manager in planning and delivering internal ETEK training, ensuring alignment with the Program of Instruction (POI) and Training Support Package (TSP).
  • Prepare and oversee pitchbacks of ETEK POIs by other Trainer Maintenance Technicians, ensuring that instructional content is accurate, comprehensive, and effectively delivered.
  • Conduct New Equipment Training (NET) and Doctrine and Tactics Training (DTT) in accordance with the POI/TSP, focusing on equipment operations, operator maintenance, PMCS, troubleshooting, and equipment installation.
  • Provide maintenance and repair services for all PM CCS equipment, ensuring that all systems are operational and meet the required standards.
  • Conduct technical inspections, troubleshoot faults, and repair a variety of EOD-related systems, supporting mission readiness.
  • Prepare and submit trip reports and estimates prior to the event, provide daily updates during the event, and compile the CDRL and necessary information for the Actual Cost Memo following the event.
  • Participate in ETEK-related events, including NMIBs, IPRs, and other relevant meetings, providing expert input and ensuring the successful execution of these events.
  • Support the preparation, execution, and follow-up of ETEK events, ensuring all equipment and personnel are ready and properly trained.
  • Perform all duties of a Trainer Maintenance Technician, including conducting NET and DTT, preparing equipment for fielding, conducting inventories, and providing customer assistance as needed.
  • Participate in semiannual inspections, lane surveys, and other maintenance-related activities to ensure all systems are in optimal condition.
  • Be prepared to travel and deploy worldwide as necessary to support mission requirements, providing EOD-specific training and maintenance support as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience since 2000 in the maintenance and training of fielded military equipment.
  • At least two (2) years serving as a certified military equipment instructor, with completion of an approved instructor training course such as FIFC, ABIC, ITC, or equivalent.
  • Past military experience as an Army EOD Technician (MOS 89D) or equivalent in another service branch.
  • Competence in preparing training lanes, including the ability to clear areas of metallic clutter.
  • Trained and qualified to provide instruction and maintenance repair on all PM CCS equipment.
  • Experience in EOD operations and training, with a focus on supporting ETEK events.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and lead training sessions effectively.
  • Capable of Teaching, Coaching, and Mentoring experienced and inexperienced Instructors to be better instructors for ETEK equipment.
