Barbaricum is seeking multiple Journeyman Workflow Support Specialists to drive analytical workflow enablement, sustainment, and the cross-enterprise scaling of critical data products. This position directly supports the execution of policies, plans, and strategies for the anticipated Headquarters Air Force Mission Assurance (MA) Program. The USAF MA program identifies, assesses, prioritizes, and oversees risk management actions for Department of War (DoW) and USAF critical assets in accordance with DoDD 3020.40 and DODI 3020.45. The specialist will leverage government-directed enterprise data platform capabilities to automate daily staff workflows, track monitoring views, and provide seamless operational decision support to senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Support analytical workflow enablement, system sustainment, and the scaling of mission-critical data products across the entire Mission Assurance enterprise.
- Utilize enterprise data platform capabilities—specifically Palantir Foundry, Jira, and Confluence—to streamline team tracking, automation, and decision-making matrixes.
- Configure and maintain user-facing platform dashboards, task lists, and data-monitoring views to translate underlying data into daily operational reporting tools.
- Provide direct Senior Staff Officer (SSO) administrative support to senior Air Force headquarters offices, managing tasking coordination and meeting execution.
- Facilitate operational and secure administrative workflows up to the Top Secret level, ensuring high-priority staff actions are tracked and resolved without bottlenecks.
- Build and maintain automation triggers within designated team coordination environments to minimize manual data entries for staff officers.
- Train and onboard non-technical personnel and capability providers on the functional use of enterprise analytical data tools and dashboards.
- Coordinate governance-preparation workflows, knowledge-management hubs, and cross-functional templates across participating MAJCOMs, NAFs, and Wings.
- Identify workflow vulnerabilities or technical friction points, feeding user feedback back to the data engineering and analytics teams for system improvement.
- Collaborate with data managers to ensure that newly deployed data pipelines seamlessly map into existing day-to-day coordination logs and tracking views.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret (TS) Clearance required on day one, with the immediate ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in workflow management, data systems support, or military staff operations.
- Platform Exposure: Hands-on familiarity with Palantir Foundry, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent enterprise collaboration ecosystems.
- Passport & Travel: Valid US passport; ability to travel CONUS or OCONUS approximately 25% of the time.
- Core Skills: Strong task organization, proactive problem-solving, and a deep comfort acting as an initial point of technical contact within a dynamic team environment.
