As a Computer Engineer IV, you will lead software and firmware development for DoD systems and ancillary support equipment in support of EMSO mission engineering and test. You will architect and build applications that drive automated instrument control, RF test execution, and digital signal processing, applying object-oriented design and modern software engineering practice across the full development lifecycle. This is a senior individual-contributor role with technical leadership expectations, working alongside Government engineers on classified development in a collaborative Government/contractor environment.

  • Produce software development plans, flow diagrams, interface control documents, software requirements specifications, software design documents, and coding standards (CDRL A009).
  • Develop drivers for automated instrument control and RF instrumentation to execute specific RF testing requirements, incorporating control logic and automated test algorithms.
  • Support development of data-analysis applications, including digital signal processing controls.
  • Debug and reverse-engineer existing software and firmware and reproduce compatible code; perform module-level testing on internally developed packages and peer review source across coding teams.
  • Use GIT for development and configuration management within a Linux/RHEL/Ubuntu, containerized (Docker/Podman) environment with STIG awareness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.

  • Proficiency with GIT-based configuration management.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
  • Master's or Doctorate degree.
  • Experience developing RF instrumentation drivers and automated test systems in a DoD lab environment.
