Creative Director, FUEL | Art

Being a CD at BarkleyOKRP is a big deal.

FUEL Creative Directors are especially responsible for leading digital and social work with deep knowledge of the space. They hold themselves accountable for being a perpetual student of digital, social, and emerging platforms - all while delivering face melting ideas.

You are part of a small force of leaders who drive the output and future potential of this agency. CDs are held to the following expectations:

They must lead superior work, lead their team, and their clients, lead our agency and within their integrated teams. They must implement our agency philosophies and ideals, and contribute to the overall culture of our agency. They must have a vision for the work that is new, different, distinctive, and culturally relevant. 

You're a driven, passionate, buttoned-up creative leader who wants to help build a creative department to be proud of. You're a mentor, a great thinker and presenter, and someone who collaborates openly and eagerly, while also bringing a strong perspective to every project. 

This gig is leading, making, and bringing others along for the ride. You'll partner with strategy directors and brand leaders, and grow your team by challenging them and supporting them. 

 
  • Responsibilities:

    • Inspire and lead a creative team to make great work

    • Provide feedback and direction to creative teams

    • Know and continue to pursue the latest knowledge of digital and social platforms

    • Build day-to-day relationships with other departments, teams, and clients

    • Be a go-to for your client team(s) and represent the FUEL department

    • This role will have direct reports

    • Client communication plan and campaign objectives are met.

    • Creative work is outstanding and on strategy.

    • Work is on target, on time, and within budget.

    • Account management morale on the account is positive, related to the creative relationship.

    • Client and agency management express confidence in leadership abilities.

    • Wise, responsible decision-making ability.

    • Teamwork is well represented in national and/or international award shows.

    • Client satisfaction ratings are high.


    Qualifications:

    • Be based out of our Kansas City, MO office - local or willing to relocate with a relocation financial assistance package 

    • Excellent portfolio showing mastery of social media and digital

    • A drive to make work that will break through the clutter and be highly effective

    • Passion for working with creative teams and bringing people together

    • Mentor more junior members of the team

    • Lead a piece of business with passion, vision, and maturity

    • Present to clients and sell work

    • Build relationships within BarkleyOKRP's walls and with clients

    • Make amazing work (both as a leader and a doer)
