Senior Paid Search Specialist

This is a full-time, remote position for a Senior Paid Search Specialist at BarkleyOKRP. In this role, you will develop strategies and manage the performance of various paid search accounts, to drive client performance and growth. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment are essential.

Skills
- Google Ads & Bing Ads mastery
- Mastery in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, Microsoft Word/Google Docs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with SEM reporting and third party analytics tools (E.g. GA4, Adobe, etc.)
- Certification in Google AdWords (or ability to obtain certification).
- Experience managing data feeds and shopping campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Paid Search Management in Google & Bing Platforms as well as through our proprietary tool: Deep Search.
- Target & Budget Management: The Sr. Paid Search Specialist independently manages budgets and campaign targets to achieve or exceed client goals, with the ability to pivot and/or make proactive recommendations as client goals shift. Proactively creates target management solutions and tracking to improve performance. Ensures spend and revenue stay in line with goal and proactively communicates with client and team when performance challenges arise.
- Campaign Structure: Stewardship over campaign structure, with ability to evangelize best practices and fluency in testing out new structures. Ensures campaigns are set up properly to appropriately spend and perform, including targeting, ads, and scheduling. Ensures ad copy, extensions, and GMC promos are aligned with appropriate promotions. Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing keywords and negative keywords to optimize campaign performance. Proactively recommends how to enhance campaign performance/account structure.
- Reporting & Analysis: Independently owns regular and ad hoc client-facing reporting in Deep Search, Google Ads, Microsoft, and other tools as required by client. Strong ability to recognize and communicate performance trends and to connect the dots between performance trends and campaign management. Proactively digs in to performance to inform campaign changes and roots of changes to performance trends. Leads diagnosing account issues and steps needed to improve performance. Able to dig into niche performance questions, pulling together data from multiple sources and telling a coherent performance story for the client.
- Strategy & Innovation: Leads strategic planning for entire account(s) and has full command of account’s Paid Search strategy. Proactively works with Supervisor and Director on testing roadmaps and plans. Owns the why behind account and campaign set up. Proactively explores and investigates additional strategies that will help enhance client's performance. Leads testing planning, execution, and reporting.
- Communication & Storytelling: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all paid search-related inquiries and updates. Proactively update clients on performance and industry trends. Leads client calls and owns the day-to-day relationship with professionalism and enthusiasm. Ensure consistent and thorough follow-ups from client requests and post client meetings. Ensures client emails are answered in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years or more years in a fast-paced agency, media, or marketing environment, hands-on experience building and managing paid search campaigns.
Compensation
The annual gross base salary range is $60,000- $85,000 USD. This range represents the anticipated target salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and geographic location. Salary is one component of BarkleyOKRP's total compensation package, which includes multiple health insurance options, flexible PTO, life insurance, and 401K.
