Remote

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team building cross-channel management tools that turn massive, complex data streams into impactful actions across paid search, social, and retail media.

In this role, you'll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications. You'll architect scalable RESTful APIs, optimize complex database queries for high-throughput data, and help drive our technical evolution as we scale our systems.

What You'll Do

  • Core Engineering: Write robust, efficient, and scalable backend code primarily in Java.
  • API Architecture: Design, develop, document, and consume robust REST APIs for seamless integration with internal microservices, frontend apps, and external partners.
  • Database Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries using major relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL) to ensure high data integrity and performance at scale.
  • Collaboration & Workflow: Manage version control using Git and GitHub, focusing on clean code history, clear branching/merging practices, and collaborative code reviews.
  • System Evolution: Contribute to modernizing our architecture, helping transition and scale services for peak performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Java Expertise: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with dedicated, hands-on expertise developing and maintaining enterprise Java applications.
  • Databases: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design using a major RDBMS like MySQL.
  • API Development: Proven, professional experience in building and consuming RESTful web services.
  • Version Control: Solid, practical understanding of Git and GitHub workflows (branching strategies, merging, resolving conflicts).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Hands-on experience deploying, managing, or monitoring applications on cloud platforms such as GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data stacks, particularly BigQuery and dbt.
  • Experience transitioning legacy Java/Tomcat/MySQL tech stacks to modern cloud-native setups.
  • Familiarity with modern AI productivity and coding tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to accelerate development workflows.
