About the Role

The FP&A Manager is a newly created strategic position within the Corporate Accounting Team, reporting directly to the CFO of Corporate Accounting. This role will be instrumental in financial planning and analysis, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, as well as experience in treasury and controllership functions. This role will also support department budgets, compensation analysis in collaboration with Human Resources, and the coordination and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including but not limited to variance analysis, cost analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts to provide accurate financial projections for both short-term and long-term planning.
  • Co-lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring cross-functional alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor department budgets, ensuring financial discipline and providing insights for cost management.
  • Partner with the HR team to analyze and evaluate compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Play a key role in the selection, coordination and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Support treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial risk management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks that drive firm-wide decision-making.
  • Prepare financial performance reports, variance analyses, and executive dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting, planning, and operational efficiency.
  • Work on special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses to support executive leadership and business initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced financial certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, and decision support, preferably in asset management, financial services, or investment management.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of treasury functions, controllership responsibilities, and compensation analysis.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes, including departmental budget oversight.
  • Experience using one or more major ERP systems; participation in the planning or implementation of such a system is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with PowerBI, Adaptive Insights, or other FP&A tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the firm.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently or in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking setting with a problem-solving mindset.

The base salary range for this position is based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. It is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. It also participates in the Firm's 401(k) and Profit-Sharing Plan.
