Our mission at Base is to fix the power grid and enable affordable and reliable electricity for all. To do that, we are building America’s Next-Generation Power Company; the first engineering-led, technology-focused, R&D-driven electricity company. The Partnerships role at Base will be critical in the development and execution of our partnerships with utilities and channel partners (e.g., home builders, real estate developers and owners). Base has a strong track record with existing partners (e.g., Lennar, Bandera Electric Coop), and more exciting ones in development. This role sits within Base’s Business Operations team and is tasked with business development, commercial and operational design of new partnerships, and execution in collaboration with all other functional teams at Base.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with utilities and channel partners that align with Base Power’s mission and strategic goals.
- Design and build product offerings that meet partners’ needs using Base’s unique technology.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with partners, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure partnership success.
- Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring sustainable terms that align with Base Power’s operating constraints and priorities.
- Partner with other business functions to design and execute partnerships effectively.
- Maintain a “no job too small” mentality, being able to perform other procedures within the general scope of this role.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in a partnerships, consulting, business development, or operating role.
- Prefer experience in energy, power, renewables, or infrastructure.
- Bonus if you have experience with electric utilities’ resource planning and CapEx processes.
- Excel modeling and effective verbal/written communication skills required.
- Experience or desire to operate in a high-growth, engineering-led environment.
