Want to join our team as a Web Developer?

The Web Developer will work directly with the Sales Operations team to create and maintain internal and external software applications that encompasses multiple systems and various integration points. This role will translate the business objectives and requirements into solutions with flexible system designs. The Web Developer will document systems architecture and establish systems design guidelines, while achieving business strategy and drivers. The Web Developer will be a key-stakeholder in learning, improving and expanding our existing systems and tools in the AWS ecosystem.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, code, debug, integrate and test software application solutions for systems to support the Sales Operation team.
  • Align application design and maintenance with business requirements by assessing and measuring solution design impacts on IT infrastructure capacity, application architecture standards and future maintenance/support needs.
  • Develop enhancements and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Address pipeline bugs, reduce latency, compatibility issues and improve the user experience across the POS tools.
  • Provide input on the development of project plans, test plans, implement plans including determining estimates on time frames, needed resources and budgets.
  • Proactively manage system updates and upgrades.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Assess areas for enhancement in system & tool functionality, automation, and innovation.
  • Create and maintain software documentation according to project requirements and outcomes.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities that align with our business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in front end and/or application development, including React or Vue.js.
  • Proficient in managing staging environments, utilizing version control systems such as Git, and overseeing deployment workflows.
  • Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6 preferred) and SQL.
  • Proficiency in using Vue.js, Node.js and React with related software ecosystem.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud platform will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of analytics and diagnostic tools to help in troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of integration with various back-end services and databases (ex: 3rd party APIs, Postgres, MySql).
  • Utilizing object-oriented programming principles to build robust and maintainable software.
  • Experience using source code management tools like Git or similar.
  • Knowledge of Python and related library ecosystem will be an asset.
  • Having been involved with developing production grade web applications.
  • Takes pride in writing good and scalable code.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with little supervision to deliver on time quality products.
  • Eager to learn new skills, procedures, and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
