A Restoration Specialist is responsible for responding to residential and commercial property damage caused by water, fire, mold, storms, or other disasters. This role involves assessing damage, performing cleanup and restoration, and ensuring properties are returned to a safe, clean, and livable condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond quickly to emergency restoration calls
Assess property damage and develop restoration plans
Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification
Remove debris, damaged materials, and hazardous substances
Clean and sanitize affected areas (including mold remediation when needed)
Operate restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, extractors, etc.)
Document job progress with photos and reports
Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and supervisors
Follow all safety procedures and industry standards
Assist with demolition and basic repairs when necessary

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous restoration, construction, or labor experience preferred
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to be on-call for emergency jobs (nights/weekends)
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Xactimate experience a plus
Experience in estimating construction projects

Preferred Skills:

Experience with water, fire, or mold restoration
Knowledge of restoration equipment and techniques
Certifications (IICRC or similar) are a plus
Problem-solving and time management skills
Good communication and customer service skills

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor job sites
Exposure to dust, debris, moisture, and varying temperatures
Fast-paced, hands-on work
