AREA SALES DIRECTOR, Home Health – AZ and CO 

Overview

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-focused sales leader to serve as Area Sales Director supporting our Home Health business in the Arizona and Colorado market. This leader will guide sales strategy across the assigned market, drive admissions, and revenue growth, and develop a high-performing team aligned with The BAYADA Way.

The Area Sales Director will partner closely with operational and sales leadership to expand market presence, strengthen referral relationships, and ensure execution of effective local and division-level growth plans. This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong business development instincts with coaching excellence, accountability, and a passion for helping more clients access high-quality home health care.

Position Summary

The Area Sales Director develops and implements selling strategies and tactics to grow Home Health revenue and admissions. The role leads and supports a team of Marketing Managers and/or Transitional Care Managers responsible for managing referral relationships, building market share, and advancing BAYADA’s mission in the community.

This position requires a strategic thinker who can assess market opportunity, execute growth plans, analyze performance, and build a strong, engaged sales team. The Area Sales Director must be comfortable influencing across functions, supporting multiple offices, and driving consistent execution in a dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales team within the assigned Home Health market to develop and execute a clear vision and strategic growth plan
  • Achieve budgeted growth goals for admissions and revenue
  • Create, implement, and monitor effective business development strategies that support market expansion and increased referrals
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, referral patterns, and account opportunities to improve growth and market share
  • Establish key performance indicators and hold the team accountable to quarterly and annual growth goals
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop top-performing sales talent, including Marketing Managers and Transitional Care Managers
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, field ride-along, and coaching sessions to build capability and improve performance
  • Partner with service office leadership to develop and maintain effective local marketing and market development plans
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key referral sources, accounts, and community partners
  • Mentor the team in account planning, account management, positioning strategy, and referral development
  • Identify niche opportunities, customer needs, and strategic partnerships that support growth
  • Maintain and promote BAYADA’s presence in the community as the Home Care Provider and Employer of Choice
  • Ensure all sales activity is aligned with BAYADA values, policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations
  • Prepare and communicate updates, site visit reports, and performance insights to sales leadership
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare sales and marketing experience required
  • Prior leadership experience managing, training, and developing a sales team through the referral and admissions process required
  • Strong home health or Medicare-certified home health sales experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth, quota attainment, and strategic market development
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and retain strong sales talent
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use sales data, reporting, and field insights to develop strategic plans and customer-specific approaches
  • Knowledge of home care regulatory requirements, reimbursement, and payor mix
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned market and to corporate meetings as needed

Salary: $125-$140k per year plus incentives based on performance.

Work Environment / Travel

This is an exempt leadership role with regular travel throughout the assigned market. Travel expectations will vary based on business needs, field support requirements, and office locations.
