About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager/Sr. Manager, Payroll & Stock Administration to oversee payroll processing, equity administration, and compliance for our employees. This role will ensure accurate payroll execution, support stock plan administration, and provide guidance on related tax and compliance matters. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll operations, equity compensation, and a deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws, wage regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Process payroll changes provided by the HR team in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, and deductions.
- Manage payroll reporting, including audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll accounting, accruals, and general ledger reconciliation.
Stock Administration
- Administer the company’s equity compensation programs, including stock options, RSUs, ESPP, and other long-term incentives.
- Process equity transactions, ensuring accuracy in grant issuance, vesting, exercises and termination.
- Work with Finance, Legal, and external providers to ensure compliance with SEC reporting, IRS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide reporting and analysis on equity compensation for Finance, Legal, and senior leadership.
- Educate employees on equity plans, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and improve participant equity education materials.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure data integrity, reconciling records between Stock Administration and Payroll
- Ensure payroll and stock administration practices align with SOX controls and external regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and standard operating procedures for payroll and stock administration processes.
- Drive process improvements and automation to enhance payroll and equity administration efficiency.
- Prepare recurring and custom reports to support financial statement disclosures such as Earnings Per Share, equity award tables, and beneficial ownership tables for SEC filings, including Form 10K, 10Q, and proxy statements, as well as any other ad-hoc reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in payroll administration, including multi-state payroll processing.
- 5+ years of experience in equity/stock administration, preferably in a public company.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, equity compensation regulations, and tax compliance.
- Experience working with payroll and stock administration systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, E*TRADE, Fidelity, or similar platforms).
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)preferred.
- At least Level 1 Certified Equity Professional (CEP)
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field preferred.

Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio Oncology Therapeutics (BBOT) is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
