Who you are

We are looking for a Hardware Program Manager who has led NPI hardware developments from concept through manufacturing ramp. This is someone who has experience working with internal hardware & software engineering teams, contract manufacturers and component suppliers to help launch next generation point of sale hardware and accessories on schedule and at exceptional quality. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of the program, possesses a strong sense of urgency, and enjoys critical thinking and problem-solving. This person should be skilled at partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders, inspiring confidence, and influencing timely, data-driven decisions.

What You'll Do

• Lead and drive high-priority hardware programs from concept to mass-production for point-of-sale products and accessories. 
• Own the end-to-end program schedule and budget. Drive the internal cross-functional and external vendor teams to meet required milestones
• Lead the core hardware cross-functional team and coordinate across product, software, logistics, GTM teams to ensure program success.
• Own executive communication on program status, issues, risks, and mitigations. 
• Effectively communicate complex technical programs to cross functional teams as well as senior leadership, ensuring all critical details are clearly conveyed, and influence timely, data-driven decisions.
• Lead the design, development and NPI build during POC, EVT and DVT phases, including build matrix definition and unit allocation. 
• Provide onsite support with the cross-functional teams for timely resolution of in-line issues. 
• Monitor engineering and reliability validation status, assisting teams in failure analysis and corrective actions. 
• Manage bug tracking and ensure timely closure using issue tracking tools. 
• Support in the PVT phase, coordinate with the product team on the launch plan and lead early field failure analysis efforts.
• Assume complete ownership of the program, strategically balancing delegation with a hands-on approach to ensure timely resolution of any issue and program success.     

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in hardware engineering program management. 
• Have worked on multiple system or subsystem hardware products. You don’t need to be an expert specifically in payment devices, but you need to be conversant enough to pick up the domain knowledge, ask the right questions and spot the real risks.
• Experience working with multiple Asia-based suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• An extremely responsive and collaborative team-player mentality.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in payment devices or consumer electronics.
• Familiarity with payments related hardware certifications e.g. EMVco L1, L2 and PCI.
• Fluency in English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
