Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management & Deal Execution
- Support the origination of new investment opportunities and drive the execution of these transactions through to completion.
- Take a leading role in financial modelling, due diligence, and the structuring of new facilities.
- Review and negotiate term sheets for new opportunities.
- Prepare and present detailed investment papers for the Investment Committee.
- Portfolio Management
- Assume significant responsibility for the monitoring of completed investments.
- Review and analyse client management information, reporting on performance on an ongoing basis.
- Proactively identify and escalate potential issues or risks within the portfolio in a prompt and effective manner.
- Team Management & Development
- Directly manage, develop, and mentor a team of analysts.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on the technical work produced by the analyst team.
- Act as a central point of contact, interacting effectively with internal stakeholders across operations, compliance, and senior leadership.
ABOUT YOU
Essential Skills & Experience:
- This role would likely suit candidates with between three to five years of professional experience, gained within an analytical financed-focused role on either the borrower or lender side (e.g., investment bank, credit fund, fintech, rating agency, advisory).
- Familiarity with debt structuring (including experience in drafting/reviewing loan documentation) and portfolio monitoring/management is a prerequisite
- University results equivalent to a UK 2:1 or above, within any subject, are preferred
- Completion of, or enrolment in, a professional designation (e.g. CFA, ACA) would be considered an asset
- Technical/specialist knowledge and skills that we are seeking include:
- A highly analytical mindset
- Great stakeholder management, presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience in cash flow modelling
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with programming languages (Python, SQL, VBA) would be advantageous
- However, we value personal qualities and cultural fit equally with past experience. What’s just as important is that you are:

- A strong team player able to work in a close-knit department, eager to progress to take on manager-level responsibility
- Technically competent and detail-oriented, with a genuine commitment to quality

- Able to remain positive and take a rational approach when faced with challenges
- Organised, proactive and highly motivated to develop
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- A competitive salary and discretionary annual bonus.
- A full benefits package, including pension, private medical, and life insurance.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- A commitment to your professional growth, with a supportive learning environment and development allowance.
- The opportunity to join a successful and entrepreneurial team with an established foothold in a high-growth market, offering excellent deal-flow and career progression.
- An inclusive and entrepreneurial environment, with exposure to the UK’s leading digital venture builder.
