Revenue Manager

We are looking for a Revenue Manager to play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our customer billing and revenue recognition processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, analyzing revenue transactions, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our growth and financial reporting needs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing different aspects of accounting tasks including customer invoice generation, revenue recognition, sales commission calculation, deferred commission, sale tax calculation is submission, and collection. 
  • Keen understanding of customer contracts.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management on assessing new and existing contracts, monitoring project completion, and various customer-related issues. 
  • Work with product and engineering departments to ensure user and customer data is correct.
  • Streamlining customer billing and revenue cycle. 
  • Collaborate with FP&A to understand and explain budget vs. actual variances.
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit and compliance reporting.  
  • Help evaluate, recommend, implement, and document new financial accounting policies, procedures, financial systems, and controls.
  • Provide support to finance management and internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc projects.
  • Maintain Ordway (billing system) and Avalara (sales tax) systems. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 
  • 7+ years of combined public and industry experience with 3+ years as a revenue specialist or manager. 
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially ASC606 and ASC 340.
  • Experience with multiple-element arrangement contracts. 
  • Experience of working with external auditors.
  • Strong accounting/analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with accounting and/or EMR systems implementation. 
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally across departments to quickly create efficient processes.
  • Ability to work in fast fast-paced environment that is ever-changing.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office solutions.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Avalara, and Ordway a plus.

Expected salary: $125,000 - 150,000
