Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting and qualifying inbound leads. This is a fast-paced, meeting-generating and quota-carrying role that requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales.

The role reports into Marketing/Lead Generation and will directly partner with our Sales team and assist them with conducting research, identifying new leads, and creating early stage opportunities. They will also work extremely closely with our Product Marketing team to ensure we are targeting the right prospective clients and engaging with senior leader, key decision makers.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through email, social media, and phone to generate leads
  • Target specific accounts; gather account intelligence and identify key decision makers
  • Conduct rigorous research and analysis to understand a prospect’s work history, potential business needs and likely pain points, tailoring messaging accordingly
  • Create early-stage opportunities by qualifying inbound and outbound leads; work closely with Sales and technical experts to commence discovery and schedule bespoke product demos
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of early-stage opportunities to meet monthly and quarterly targets
  • Collaborate with Sales to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations by bringing innovative lead-generation ideas to each weekly meeting
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospect accounts and lead details and outreach activities in the CRM system
  • Support pre-, during, and post-conference activities; set up meetings ahead of the conference, attend the conference for set up and tear down activities, meet with prospects, network, generate and nurture leads 
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a business development role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Salesforce with experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other SDR tools
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Must be willing to go into the London office 2 days per week
  • Travel to conferences as needed is required
  • A foundational understanding of the capital markets and energy/commodities markets with a keen interest in financial and risk technology 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a business development role
