Overview: Beam Healthcare is looking for a part-time Medical Biller, about 5 hours/week, who will be responsible for the management of claims creation and billing. They will prepare and submit claims for medical services provided to insurance companies; working to optimize billing -- ensuring all charge opportunities are being captured.
Associates Degree Preferred
Experience:
5+ Years | Background in the Inpatient Setting with Critical Care Billing Knowledge
Salary Range:
$27/hr
Overview: Beam Healthcare is looking for a part-time Medical Biller, about 5 hours/week, who will be responsible for the management of claims creation and billing. They will prepare and submit claims for medical services provided to insurance companies; working to optimize billing -- ensuring all charge opportunities are being captured.
Job Responsibilities:
- Submit claims to insurance companies on behalf of Beam Healthcare
- Use medical billing software to enter patient demographics, procedures, diagnoses, charges, payments, and balance
- Maintain patient billing records
- Other administrative tasks, related to claims/billing, as needed
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience in medical billing in the inpatient setting
- Experience with critical care billing codes and telemedicine
- Proficiency with medical billing software, prefer prior use of Athelas Insights.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
