Coverage:
7 pm-7 am on call for cross-coverage and overnight admission(s) - low volume
Minimum availability of 5-7 night stretch/month
Job Qualification:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a mental health focus.
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Kansas.
- Proven clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Dedication to providing patient-centered care with a focus on compassion, empathy, and respect.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest medical advancements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by medical staff.
- Assess the physical and psychiatric health of patients and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
- Chart clinical observation (direct or through dictation), evaluations, and treatment of patients in the required time according to facility guidelines.
- Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patients within appropriate guidelines.
- Support and follow legal requirements, hospital policy, and procedures, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide services that are in accordance with the state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
