Job Description

 

Title: Director of Events

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Department: Trade-General

Reports to: VP of Trade Marketing

Salary: $120K-140K + bonus

Job Summary:

BeatBox Beverages is looking for a dynamic, experienced Director of Events to lead and execute our B2B events, trade shows, and company summits. This role is critical in creating memorable, impactful experiences that strengthen our brand presence, support business objectives, and elevate the BeatBox brand at industry events. The ideal candidate is an expert in event strategy and execution, has a keen eye for detail, and excels in creating innovative, engaging event experiences tailored to the beverage and alcohol industry.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and lead the B2B event strategy for BeatBox, aligning with overall marketing, sales, and brand goals.
    • Create detailed event plans that include budgeting, resource allocation, timelines, and ROI objectives.
  2. Trade Shows & Industry Conferences:
    • Oversee BeatBox’s presence at key trade shows, including booth design, setup, activations, and overall brand experience.
    • Collaborate with sales and trade marketing teams to develop targeted pre-event and post-event strategies to drive lead generation, brand awareness, and conversion.
    • Work with Experiential Marketing Vendors to create a footprint that is unforgettable 
  3. Company Summits & Internal Events:
    • Plan and execute internal events such as company summits, training sessions, and meetings, ensuring a cohesive, branded experience that enhances team engagement and aligns with company goals.
  4. Vendor & Partner Management:
    • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with event vendors, partners, and venues, including contract negotiation and oversight of all third-party contributions to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
    • Manage logistics pre, during and post event.
  5. Creative Development & Brand Consistency:
    • Ensure brand consistency across all event materials, including digital assets, on-site signage, and branded giveaways.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to design unique, engaging activations and displays that differentiate BeatBox within the competitive beverage landscape.
  6. Data Analysis & Post-Event Reporting:
    • Track event performance metrics, conduct post-event evaluations, and analyze ROI to inform future event strategies.
    • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders, continuously improving the effectiveness and impact of BeatBox’s event presence.
  7. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor a team of event coordinators, vendors, to ensure flawless execution and a unified approach to all events.
    • Work closely with the VP of Trade Marketing and other departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure events align with broader company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in event management, ideally within the beverage, CPG, or alcohol industry.
  • Proven track record in executing high-profile B2B events, trade shows, and summits.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with event management software and digital tools (e.g., CRM, analytics platforms).
  • Ability to travel as needed for event planning and on-site execution. 25% travel 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
