Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Ready to take the next step in your finance career? We’re looking for a sharp, driven FP&A Manager to join our small but mighty team at a vibrant, fast-growing tech company. This is a brilliant opportunity to make a real impact from day one — working closely with senior leadership and driving strategic decision-making. If you’re proactive, analytical, and excited to grow in a high-energy environment, we want to hear from you.
About Beauhurst
We are building the leading provider of private company data in Europe.
Private companies represent 80% of private sector employment and over 90% of revenues across Europe. They are the backbone of our economy – creating jobs, driving innovation, and generating the tax receipts that enable government services. Yet finding, collecting, and understanding information about private companies remains a significant challenge.
We bridge this gap by providing our customers with comprehensive, up-to-date private company information. Our online platforms and API help our clients to discover, track and understand these companies. This empowers them to take informed action, whether they're offering services or funding to help companies grow, crafting supportive policies, or making better decisions through a deeper understanding of the economic landscape.
We work with venture capital firms, big financial institutions, leading universities and the Government to help them find and work with companies that drive disruption and innovation across the economy.
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced FP&A Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. You’ll be responsible for analysing and presenting all types of financial and KPI data, driving the budgeting process, building and maintaining financial models, and providing insightful commercial finance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Data integrity and accuracy are important throughout, so you’ll need to understand how our various internal databases are created, run and link together.
There’ll also be some ad-hoc finance team responsibilities, such as supporting with our end of year accounts, any grant applications and generally being proactive with improving our systems and processes.
This brand new role will report directly to the Head of Finance & Legal, and work closely with C-suite and other senior members of staff.
Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Modelling
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast financial performance, analyse business scenarios, and support decision-making around the company
- Build and update models for revenue forecasting, expense budgeting, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Ensure models are accurate, reliable, and well-documented.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable budgets.
- Manage the monthly forecasting process, incorporating actual results and updated business assumptions.
- Analyse budget variances and provide insightful explanations to management.
- Commercial Finance Analysis
- Analyse key performance indicators and provide insights into business performance.
- Provide data and analysis to support ad-hoc hypothesising
- Develop and present financial dashboards and presentations to communicate key findings.
- Financial Data Analysis and Presentation
- Maintain, expand, clean, and analyse commercial and financial datasets from various sources.
- Develop and maintain data visualisations to communicate financial insights effectively.
- Identify trends and patterns in financial data to support decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Finance Operations Tasks
- Assist accountants and book-keepers with month-end closing activities - be the in-business “sense check”
- Support the end of year accounts and audit process
- Support with grant applications
About you
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role also involves ad-hoc finance operations tasks, so you’ll need to be flexible, adaptable and happy to get stuck in.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to:
- Have 5+ years of working experience in a FP&A or strategic finance role in a high-growth company
- Have experience modelling, analysing and presenting financial, commercial and business metrics
- Have a good understanding of financial statements and how finance is used to drive a business (but you don’t need to be an accountant!)
