Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a high-performance team of data analysts, being a technical reference, providing guidance, mentoring, and support for the analysis team.
  • Manage a team of approximately 5 to 10 resources, depending on project allocation.
  • Review to verify that best practices have been followed for high-quality products, recommend appropriate data sources, models, and methods that may apply to a specific use case, ensuring scalability and high reuse.
  • Work with product leaders, engineering, and commercial strategy to form a unified data-driven strategy.
  • Support the prioritization exercise in analysis requests for your team alongside stakeholders and DPMs (data product managers), based on business impact, level of effort, etc.
  • Actively balance team leadership efforts with practical development/coding of data products, metrics, and visualizations to drive business.
  • Drive the business strategy by providing insights into current performance and highlighting areas of opportunity for growth. To do this, conduct advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning models to answer specific business questions, extract insights and predictive patterns from large datasets to explain and expose potential opportunities from the data.
  • Develop data sets/schemas consuming data from multiple sources such as internal databases, analysis tools, unstructured sources, and other external sources.
  • Produce effective data narratives to drive action on these opportunities by designing and developing data visualizations using PowerBI.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate analytical methods to solve complex business problems.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of complex data models, data structures, and best practices for data governance to support the data platform team in definitions and executions following best practices appropriate to use cases.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Data Science and Analytics, or related course.
  • Prior experience in technical management of Data Analyst teams. Extensive experience in data analysis, data science.
  • Advanced English is mandatory - will work with a global team. Other languages will be considered a differential.
  • Prior experience in cloud solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Teradata.
  • Expertise in database query and reporting tools (SQL + Power BI + DAX). Tableau & Mode will be considered a differential.
  • Effective skills in programming languages (Python, PySpark, SQL).
  • Experience in using SQL/NOSQL databases. "R" is considered a differential.
  • Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and a solid background in statistical analysis focused on data-driven solutions.
  • Experience in gathering complex business requirements and identifying data needs.
  • Experience in analyzing data to identify key insights, gaps, and inconsistencies.
  • Familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodology.
  • Experience in leveraging transactional and digital behavioral data to understand business impacts and user behavior as input for ROI.
