Electrical Journeyman

Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Residential Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who thrives in residential environments, enjoys solving electrical issues, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and upgrading residential electrical systems while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems and components.

• Install and upgrade wiring, panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical fixtures.

• Ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes.

• Perform system inspections to identify potential hazards or required upgrades.

• Clearly explain issues and solutions to homeowners in a professional and courteous manner.

• Prepare accurate job documentation, including materials used, work completed, and time tracking.

• Collaborate with dispatch, office staff, and other field technicians to ensure timely service delivery.

• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and company vehicle.

• Stay informed on current code requirements, product innovations, and safety practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship program preferred.

• Valid state-issued Journeyman Electrician License.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential electrical service.

• In-depth knowledge of residential electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.

• Comfortable working in various conditions (attics, basements, outdoors, etc.).

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
