Program Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Data Analyst to join our team and support innovative, data-informed substance use prevention initiatives focused on youth and young adults across Rio Grande Valley (RGV) communities. Using the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), you will transform data into meaningful insights that inform action and strengthen prevention efforts. You will assess the needs of youth and young adults, evaluate resource availability and capacity-building opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and contribute to the development of effective, evidence-based prevention strategies. Through your expertise, you will play a key role in turning data into action and advancing healthier, stronger communities throughout the RGV.

Job Description: 

• Lead the recruitment of diverse Behavioral Health and community leaders, including developing partnerships, MOUs, referral pathways, and communication protocols.
• Coordinate the implementation of the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting community and project data to inform prevention priorities and strategies.
• Conduct and support comprehensive community needs assessments, including identifying trends, risk factors, protective factors, service needs, and resource gaps addressing behavioral health among youth and young adults to build community capacity.
• Coordinate program outcomes, participation, and quality assurance strategies while coordinating data collection, strategic planning, sustainability efforts, and maintaining long-term community partnerships.
• Coordinate the development of prevention messages and media campaigns to increase awareness of resources and program services.
• Provide oversight and guidance to coalition specialist staff, ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, performance tracking, and compliance with program requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or equivalent.
• Experience working in social services, networking in the community or at risk population is preferred.
• Experience with community needs assessments and data collection/analysis. 
• Must have reliable transportation and current insurance; travel is required within the service area.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay: $35,000 annually.
