About the Role

We are seeking two skilled BI Engineers to establish our Business Intelligence function from the ground up. As founding members of a lean, high-impact team, you'll be responsible for the full spectrum of BI delivery - from extracting data from source systems to delivering insights through interactive dashboards. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical depth and business acumen, perfect for versatile professionals who thrive in building something new.

What You’ll Bring

  1. A genuine passion for Behavox's mission, with a clear connection to our marketplace, data-driven technologies, and vision.
  2. Proven experience building end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT) from multiple sources using Python and modern orchestration frameworks. 
  3. Hands-on experience designing business dashboards that influence decisions, ideally using Looker.
  4. A track record of success in collaborative, small-team environments, contributing to shared outcomes and cross-functional projects. 
  5. Demonstrated learning agility - comfortable with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and eager to explore AI-assisted development and analytics tools.

What You’ll Do

  1. Design and implement robust, end-to-end data solutions that enable analytics and insight generation. 
  2. Develop and maintain production-quality SQL and Python code for data transformation and automation. 
  3. Champion data quality and reliability, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and trust in core datasets.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. 
  5. Continuously learn and adapt to emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in modern data engineering.

About Our Process

Our selection process is designed to rigorously assess a candidate’s depth of technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and alignment with Behavox’s mission and core values.

As part of the process, candidates will first participate in a series of interviews focused on evaluating their technical expertise and engineering judgment. Candidates who successfully progress through these interviews will then be invited to complete a live technical exercise with a group of Behavox engineers and engineering managers. 

The purpose of this live technical assessment is to validate the candidate’s stated technical competencies and assess their ability to solve complex problems with speed, accuracy, and sound engineering judgment. Note that whenever possible, we aim to conduct interviews in person at our offices.

We recognise and respect the time candidates invest in this process. In return, Behavox commits significant time and resources to ensure that those who join us have the capability, judgment, and alignment required to operate at the speed and level of complexity our work demands. We value efficiency and clarity on both sides; if at any point we determine that a candidate is not a fit, we reserve the right to immediately conclude the interview or the technical assessment.
