OVERVIEW:

The Textile Laboratory Manager will oversee our state-of-the-art technical lab, which is crucial for conducting precise color approvals using a Spectrophotometer, light box evaluations, shrinkage tests, and appearance assessments after washing. This role is pivotal in expanding our lab capabilities to include colorfastness testing and ensuring that our products meet our exceptional quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and expand lab capabilities for advanced textile testing.
  • Oversee the Lab team and Fabric Product Integrity Team, setting and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Review and approve all fabric ASNs in FDM4 to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and oversee the daily workload at lab facilities, ensuring efficient prioritization and timely completion of testing.
  • Direct the Fabric Product Integrity team at our cutting facilities.
  • Work closely with the Raw Materials Color team to influence and enhance fabric development, focusing on color fidelity and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the Raw Materials team to address and resolve fabric-related manufacturing issues.
  • Ensure consistent quality and operational standards across both local and international lab setups, including regular monitoring and evaluation of our lab in Nicaragua.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role within the textile or fashion industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of dyeing, fabric manufacturing, and textile testing.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, capable of directing and developing teams.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to Nicaragua, to oversee lab operations.
  • Strong collaborative and influential skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments.

The base salary for this position is $85,000-$95,000 per year which represents the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits
