
Maintenance Technician

Maintenance technician is responsible for maintenance tasks including installation, repair and inspection of machines and electrical equipment and carrying out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure that equipment remains operational. The role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installs and repairs factory equipment, maintains machinery by completing preventive maintenance tasks
- Identifies root causes of equipment issues using electrical and/ or pneumatic schematics, in-depth knowledge of machine/ tool operation, outside resources such as equipment manufacturer technical service etc.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts
- Maintains inventories of parts and supplies for the machines by maintaining stock and placing orders
- Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Experience/ Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role
- Trade or vocational school graduation preferred
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools. Forklift driving license is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and ability
- Strong computer skills, ability to create reports in Excel and Microsoft Word
- Physical dexterity, able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
