
Production Manager
OVERVIEW

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. The Production Manager will lead a team, manage resources, and implement strategies to optimize production performance and meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborative leadership of described Production area(s) understanding and building thriving relationships with internal suppliers and customers.
- Assist in supervising, coaching, and training staff.
- Move products identified in system as ready, in process or completed and organized by job for next operation.
- Ensuring products are staged for effective use in next operations.
- Communicate with order entry to change or add or delete product from sales orders if needed.
- Communicate with order entry if additional lines need to be added to orders if needed.
- Assist with managing warehouse staff in their day-to-day performance, including receiving, pulling, and staging products as needed.
- Review Production Schedule and execute to that production plan ensuring safe operating practices, quality execution, and productive completion of requirements.
- Attend safety meetings and facilitate Safety Toolbox Talks to assist with compliance and safety equipment requirements. Report incidents using documentation.
- Control company provided safety equipment and communicated with purchasing if levels are low.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in production management or manufacturing leadership role.
- Solid understanding of quality management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in production management or manufacturing leadership role.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets using a Microsoft 365 environment.
- Proficiency in the management of finishing equipment and systems.
- Fluency in additional languages, particularly Spanish.
