International Freight Coordinator

Collingwood, Victoria, Australia

IN A NUTSHELL

Since we launched with a range of six wallets in 2010, we’ve grown significantly and now release about 50 new products a year (give or take). Our Production team is in charge of ensuring all of these products (and those yet to come) are manufactured on time, in the right quantity and to up to standard.

As our International Freight Coordinator, you’ll be the connector who keeps our global supply chain flowing. You’ll manage international shipments end-to-end, partner with freight forwarders and couriers, and ensure our products get where they need to be.

You’ll also be the first to spot (and solve) logistical issues, keep a close eye on lead times and costs, and look for ways to make our freight processes smarter, faster, and more efficient. It’s a role where your expertise won’t just keep us moving — it will help shape how we move in the future.

Bring us your eagerness to learn, organisational skills, and proactive communication style. In return, we’ll offer an inclusive team  and the support you need to advance your skills further.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU HAVE….

  • 3+ years of experience in international logistics, preferably from freight forwarding or retail industries
  • Solid understanding of international freight modes ( Ocean, Air), LCL/FCL operations, shipment consolidation and various shipping methods
  • Experience coordinating shipments from overseas suppliers to various international destinations with freight forwarders, custom brokers and courier services
  • Knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, duty/taxes,  import/export procedures, compliance with international trade, and associated documentations.
  • An understanding of  freight booking processes, rate negotiations and transit lead times of various international shipping routes
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, forwarders, and internal teams
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in international shipping cost analysis and freight performance reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills for addressing logistical challenges, delays and passion for improving freight efficiency
  • Comfortability using ERP software and proficiency in using spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, YOU MIGHT HAVE…

  • Planned and executed international shipments ( Ocean/ Air, LCL/FCL) with suppliers and forwarders while utilising an efficient consolidation plan to meet deadlines and track deliveries
  • Reviewed the upcoming shipping plan and identified alternative ways to reduce freight transit lead time while optimising freight costs to meet a critical new product launch
  • Addressed and resolved shipment delays by working with freight forwarders to expedite deliveries to our warehouses
  • Created freight performance reports on key logistics metrics like lead times, shipping costs, and delivery performance
  • Collaborated with your manager to negotiate better freight rates and developed shipment optimisation strategies
  • Organised sample shipments for Quality Control and updated the ETA of shipments in the ERP system, keeping internal teams informed
  • Handled inquiries from sales and operations teams, provided instructions to our remote support team for inbound processing, and approved logistics invoice
  • Maintained compliance with international trade regulations while identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
